The options are endless on beautiful snorkelling and boating spots around Santo. Here are a few of our favourites, but with so many choices available, let us know what you're looking for and we will do our best to find it for you!
Snorkelling Million Dollar Point
Snorkelling on million dollar point is a great way to enjoy some of the underwater WWII wrecks that surround Santo if you are a non-diver. Walk in right off the beach and take in the military equipment dumped by the USA into the clear waters. There are jeeps, trucks and even an upside down excavator to be seen while snorkeling.
As a marine reserve, you can also enjoy the wonderful variety of fish life that now call the tangled piles of machinery home. There are schools of drummers, goat fish, the ever curious clown 'nemo' fish, turtles and even dugongs can be spotted here on the occasion. With a lovely beach, shower and toilets facilities, Million Dollar Point is a great place to spend the day or half a day enjoying the history and nature of Santo.
Blossom Bay – Stunning Snorkeling
Directly off our private jetty opposite the resort, begin your cruise out of the Segond Canal. Past the coconut plantations of Aore, natural beauty of Malo and pristine beaches of Aore Island to the shelter of Blossom Bay. Here you can relax on the sandy beach for a light snack & cool drink, before diving in and exploring the crevices and dive throughs of this world class snorkeling spot just off the shore.
Next, we head to a small blue lagoon for a bit of site-seeing before venturing back past the many fresh water inlets to Coral Quays Fish & Dive resort.
Duration: 3-4 hours
Why not hire the boat for a half or full day? Our skipper will take you on a tour around the islands, and stop at a small secluded beach for a swim and picnic. There are many beautiful Islands along the way including Aore, Malo, Turtle, Belmol, Bokissa, Tutuba, and Ratua. Experience isolated bays, reefs and the beauty of the Islands only 5 – 20 mins away from Coral Quays Resort.
